Born in 1986, Anderlecht, Brussels, Belgium. Lives and works in Brussels.
Olivier Truyman was born in Brussels in 1986. He was bitten by the travel bug and a passion for photography at an early age, and soon began honing his skills, living successively in Argentina, the United States, New Zealand and Canada.
He graduated in photography from Marsan College in Montreal and has lived and worked in Brussels since 2015. One of his favourite themes in his artistic quest is the power of the gaze: hence his particular interest in portraits. The surprising angle from which he shoots is a constraint that he imposes on his approach. Atelier Relief has been showing his photographs since his return to Belgium. In the summer of 2016, he staged a personal exhibition at the Château de Rosanbo in Brittany.
