FR À l’occasion des 200 ans de la photographie, l’exposition Right here, right now met en regard les univers d’Emmanuel Crooÿ et de Milton Fash, deux façons singulières de saisir l’instant. Photographe professionnel depuis 1997, Emmanuel Crooÿ porte un regard sensible sur les rencontres, les coïncidences et les instants qui marquent une vie. Photographies, objets glanés et anecdotes évoquent la synchronicité, ce moment fugace où tout s’aligne et où le hasard prend sens. Depuis dix ans, Milton Fash photographie au smartphone, sans studio ni matériel lourd. Il traque les formes simples, les couleurs saturées et les détails du quotidien. Le jeu des lignes et l’intensité chromatique, sublimés par l’impression sur ChromaLuxe, brouillent les frontières entre photographie, peinture et dessin. Entre mémoire et instantané, récit et épure, leurs œuvres se répondent : Crooÿ révèle les histoires et les coïncidences qui façonnent nos vies, tandis que Fash transforme le banal en expérience visuelle. Deux regards singuliers qui célèbrent la photographie comme une manière d’habiter pleinement le monde, ici et maintenant.

NL Ter gelegenheid van de 200e verjaardag van de fotografie brengt de tentoonstelling Right here, right now de werelden van Emmanuel Crooÿ en Milton Fash samen: twee bijzondere manieren om het moment vast te leggen. Emmanuel Crooÿ, sinds 1997 een professioneel fotograaf, werpt een gevoelige blik op ontmoetingen, toevalligheden en momenten die een leven tekenen. Foto's, verzamelde voorwerpen en anekdotes roepen het gevoel van synchroniciteit op, dat vluchtige moment waarop alles op zijn plaats valt en het toeval betekenis krijgt. Milton Fash fotografeert al tien jaar met zijn smartphone, zonder studio of zware apparatuur. Hij gaat op zoek naar eenvoudige vormen, verzadigde kleuren en details uit het dagelijks leven. Het spel van lijnen en de kleurintensiteit, nog versterkt door de afdruk op ChromaLuxe, doen de grenzen tussen fotografie, schilderkunst en tekenkunst vervagen. Tussen herinnering en momentopname, verhaal en schets vullen hun werken elkaar aan: Crooÿ onthult de verhalen en toevalligheden die ons leven vormgeven terwijl Fash het alledaagse omzet in een visuele ervaring. Twee unieke blikken die fotografie vieren als een manier om ten volle in de wereld te leven, hier en nu.

EN On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of photography, the exhibition Right Here, Right Now brings together the worlds of Emmanuel Crooÿ and Milton Fash, offering two distinctive approaches to capturing the moment. A professional photographer since 1997, Emmanuel Crooÿ takes a sensitive look at encounters, coincidences and the moments that leave their mark on our lives. Photographs, found objects and anecdotes explore synchronicity — that fleeting moment when everything falls into place and chance takes on meaning. For the past ten years, Milton Fash has been taking photographs with a smartphone, without a studio or bulky equipment. He seeks out simple forms, saturated colours and details of everyday life. The interplay of lines and chromatic intensity, enhanced by ChromaLuxe printing, blurs the boundaries between photography, painting and drawing. Between memory and immediacy, narrative and minimalism, their works engage in a visual dialogue. Crooÿ reveals the stories and coincidences that shape our lives, while Fash transforms the ordinary into a visual experience. Two distinctive perspectives celebrating photography as a way of fully inhabiting the world — right here, right now.
