Writing with light - Group exhibition
23 January - 21 February 2027
EN The exhibition Writing with light reunites the works of three artists who made light itself the main subject of their photographs. Teodora Cosman explores the transformation operated by light in her homely environment, the modest and ephemeral epiphanies of the everyday. Răzvan Neagoe uses a specific timeframe and protocol to inscribe sunlight on a piece of photographic paper, literally writing with light. Daniela Chirion collects the fleeting moments, in an archive of light and shadow. Photography, the most concrete medium, grounded in the material world in front of the camera, becomes a medium that gives access to the invisible, opening up new ways of perceiving reality.
In 1665 Nicolas Poussin noted that light is a necessary condition for painting. Here are three painters writing, or rather “painting” with light. Not only metaphorically but literally, light being the means and the goal of their work.
