AI practises in Central Europe / Lecture by Justyna Kociszewska (EN)

Fake entries in encyclopedias & ghosts in 7-elevens - AI practises in Central Europe, a lecture by Justyna Kociszewska (EN)

A species of bird that cannot fly until male and female grab their wings and fly collectively, a ghost that lives among humans in... 7-eleven alcohol shops. What seems unreal has also a very true part of the story, revealing even more realness about ourselves and our societies, which comes to life thanks to artists such as Weronika Gęsicka (this year's nominee to Deutsche Borse Photography Award) or Szymon Rogiński.

Justyna Kociszewska, co-organizer of Fotofestiwal - International Festival of Photography in Łodź (Poland), will present some of the AI related practices by artists and researchers from Poland and try to trace if the Central/Eastern European legacy might affect the way artist look at and work with the newest technologies.

Dance and Music Duet at Tiny Gallery

Angeles
Emmanuel Cremer – Barbara Pereyra

Concert performance 8.pm

EN: Angeles is a choreographic piece created and performed by Barbara Pereyra. It features two protagonists: the counterpoint to the dance is the live music, played on stage by Emmanuel Cremer on the cello.

Through constant interaction and simultaneous interpretation of space, bodies, and each other, Barbara Pereyra and Emmanuel Cremer create a continuously evolving choreography that reveals a fleeting architecture. The music and the dance work together to highlight the shapes, lines, and sounds already present, which fade and continue to transform even after the performance ends.

The duo of Emmanuel Cremer and Barbara Pereyra intertwines dance and music, movement and sound. As a dancer and a musician, we cherish our respective practices while being attuned to their commonalities and differing approaches. Our affinities, our complicity, and our shared desire to be co-creators of a single journey allow us to respond instantly to each other's proposals.

We choose to think differently about music and dance, to reinvent ourselves. We aim to be attuned to a theme that demands the intimate necessity of creating a form.

Gilles Sadowski (clarinetist)
Hanna Bardos Feltoronyi and Lucy Grauman (singers)

Paprika et Varnishkes is a trio composed of two singers and a clarinetist. They delve into a repertoire of Hungarian and Yiddish songs where humor, poetry, and chamber music intertwine. This brand-new group boldly disrupts the usual boundaries of traditional music to craft a language of their own. Csárdás, klezmer, doina, Yiddish folklore, revolutionary refrains, Transylvanian chants—mix in a dash of schnapps, pálinka, spices, butterflies, and birds, and let yourself be carried away!
