FR Dans le cadre d'un échange entre galeries, IN-DEPENDANCE & IBASHO organisent une exposition collective dans l'espace de la Hopstreet Gallery.Avec l’exposition Land-/Bodyscapes, IN-DEPENDANCE by IBASHO & IBASHO réunissent un groupe d'artistes photographes occidentaux, ainsi que deux artistes japonais afin de montrer l'esthétique commune qui passionne Martijn van Pieterson et Annemarie Zethof, fondateurs des deux galeries. En dix ans, IBASHO s'est forgé une réputation internationale dans le domaine de la photographie japonaise. Admirateurs d'artistes qui ne rentrent pas dans le champ d'IBASHO, les galeristes ont décidé d'ouvrir une deuxième galerie dédiée à l'art contemporain photographique, où la matérialité, le savoir-faire artisanal et une esthétique sobre occupent le devant de la scène.
NL In het kader van een uitwisseling tussen galerieën organiseren IN-DEPENDANCE & IBASHO een groepstentoonstelling in de Hopstreet Gallery. Met de tentoonstelling Land-/Bodyscapes brengen IN-DEPENDANCE by IBASHO & IBASHO een groep westerse fotografen samen, evenals twee Japanse kunstenaars, om de gedeelde esthetiek te tonen die Martijn van Pieterson en Annemarie Zethof, de oprichters van de twee galerieën, inspireert. In tien jaar tijd heeft IBASHO een internationale reputatie opgebouwd op het gebied van Japanse fotografie. Als bewonderaars van kunstenaars die buiten het gebruikelijke veld van IBASHO vallen, besloten de galeriehouders een tweede galerie te openen die gewijd is aan hedendaagse fotografische kunst, waar materialiteit, ambachtelijk vakmanschap en een sobere esthetiek centraal staan.
EN As part of a gallery exchange, IN-DEPENDANCE & IBASHO are organizing a group exhibition at the Hopstreet Gallery. With the exhibition Land-/Bodyscapes, IN-DEPENDANCE by IBASHO & IBASHO bring together a group of Western photographers, as well as two Japanese artists, to showcase the shared aesthetic that inspires Martijn van Pieterson and Annemarie Zethof, founders of the two galleries. Over the past ten years, IBASHO has earned an international reputation in the field of Japanese photography. Admirers of artists who fall outside IBASHO’s usual scope, the gallerists decided to open a second gallery dedicated to contemporary photographic art, where materiality, artisanal craftsmanship, and a refined aesthetic take center stage.
